Mystic Beats has lots of fond memories working in female only environments, whether that’s performing at Annual Women’s Day events, The Great Get Together and Muslim Women’s Network or its delivering Frame Drumming workshops at An-Nisa Network celebrations and at the Nottingham Women’s Centre.
One of my favourite sessions is the Sunday morning workshops with Beatfeet where we have been coming together from different walks of life to explore Daff rhythms from the Middle East. With a splash of singing, dancing and clapping its quite an atmosphere to get you ready for the week ahead. We have formed a wonderful connection over the months, through bringing each of our skills and talent together, making ourselves and each other feel so energised!
